TOC in pharmaceutical industry

In the pharmaceutical industry plastic packaging is used in various forms - for intravenous bags, bottles, cartridges, pre-filled syringes etc. Each packaging has to be tested for suitability for these uses. The United States Pharmacopeia has published two new chapters about the characterization and required testing of individual plastic materials (661.1) and final packaging (661.2).
